It’s true, I love traveling and discovering new places. But it’s also true that I’m lucky to live in one of the most beautiful cities in the world : Paris. And whether it’s to make my foreigner friends visit my city or to enjoy a walk on a sunny day, it’s always nice to re-discover your city ! So today I’m taking you to a photo-trip into my beloved city and its beautiful places. 😉
–
The Eiffel Tower
Paris is know for the Eiffel Tower, which is beautiful from above, from the Trocadero and from the river. Be sure to see it during the day… but also during the night to see it scintillating. It’s quite a show !
–
But it’s not all about the Eiffel Tower. There are also so many other things to do and see in Paris.
–
Montmartre
Montmartre is a great place to take a walk and admire the view of Paris from the top (but I’ll tell you more about it at the end of this article 😉 ). To go to the top, you can take the stairs or take the funicular ! And if you go in the little streets, you’ll find a lot of artists, so if you’re looking for a portrait, that’s the place to go !
–
Notre Dame
At Notre Dame, you can admire the cathedral and its impressive architecture, but also walk along the Seine or take a drink at Saint Michel, where you have a lot of bars and small restaurants.

Le Marais
Le Marais is a neighborhood in Paris where you can see the City Hall but also Saint Paul’s cathedral. And most of all, it’s a nice place to walk or eat in one of the numerous restaurants you can find there. You can also enjoy the sun and seat on the grass on the Place des Vosges .
–
The Opera
The Opera has an amazing architecture. Near it, you can go to the Galeries Lafayette, which is a department store with a gorgeous dome but you can also admire the beautiful safe of the Société Générale Bank. You can then walk in the Tuileries, a big garden perfect for summer walks and picnics. After a break in the Tuileries, if you’re a fan of art, don’t forget to go to the Louvre Museum, where you’ll be able to see (among many works of art!) the Mona Lisa.
–
Nature in the city
In Paris, there are more to see than the touristic places. You can simply wander around in the small streets, look at the Haussmanian buildings and go to the parks. If you’re looking for nature, you can walk along the Coulée Verte (which starts at Bastille). You can also go to the Jardin d’Acclimatation, where you can see the Cartier Foundation, but also cute animals. In some places, you will even have the impression that you are in Japan ! Finally, you can go paddling in the Bois de Vincennes.
–
Views of Paris
I have always loved contemplating Paris from the top, so I’m always looking for new perspectives. For that, you can go to rooftop bars, to have a drink and enjoy the view (like the one at Saint Michel) :
–
… Of course the one from the Eiffel Tower :
–
… Bien-sûr celle de la Tour Eiffel :
You also have the views from the hilltop of Montmartre which are quite impressive :
–
But my favorite is the one from the Arc de Triomphe ! You have to climb a lot of stairs, but trust me, it’s worth it 😀
–
Paris by night
Finally, whatever you do, be sure to have time to walk in Paris at night. Paris by night is just magical, and you’ll discover the city differently. 😉
–
Of course, I could talk about Paris during hours, but I think it sums up what you can do while you’re staying in Paris 🙂 Don’t hesitate to leave me a comment if you have any question !
–
